On March 24, 2022, via an international channel of communication and safety of navigation, a warship of the russian Navy appealed to all vessels in Ukrainian ports with an offer to use the humanitarian corridor to exit the blockade.

The military of the country-aggressor unreasonably accused the Ukrainian fleet, which allegedly mined the Black Sea and obstructed the exit of foreign vessels.

They forgot to mention who since March 3 this year pretends to be the “masters of the sea” and acts contrary to international maritime law, safety of navigation and common sense.

Russian warships have blocked all waterways in the Azov and northwestern Black Seas.

At the same time, pirates under the tricolor openly threatened to use weapons to any vehicle that would risk exercising the right of peaceful passage, calling them a terrorist threat.

During all this time, about 100 foreign merchant vessels remain blocked in Ukrainian ports. And the ships of the aggressor country periodically shell the coast, the territorial sea of Ukraine and even hit foreign ships.

During the three-week blockade of the northwestern Black Sea region, pirates seized two Ukrainian civilian ships, calling them at gunpoint from Romanian waters, near Zmiiniy Island.

Five foreign ships were fired upon, one of which sank, another turned into an environmental time bomb, which is drifting uncontrollably in the open sea with more than 500 tons of burning diesel fuel.

And suddenly - a gesture of "good will" - the opening of a humanitarian corridor.

We draw attention to the fact that the humanitarian corridor proclaimed by russia has not been confirmed or guaranteed by any agreements at the international level. But trust in the "good intentions" of a country that defiantly violates international maritime law can be fatal: it can lead to the loss of ships and the deaths of crews.

Everyone knows how on March 7, when instead of the agreement on humanitarian corridors, Russian tanks went off in the Mariupol direction.

It is from the specified region of the sea, where the russians kindly invite foreign ships to form their humanitarian convoy, that russian ships and planes are constantly shelling the coast of Ukraine.

Thus, the intention, under the guise of a humanitarian mission, to create a "living shield" of civilian ships for further impunity for the shelling of Ukraine

Understanding this and listening to the recommendations of the Ukrainian side, today no foreign ship has agreed to the offer of the aggressors.
